Sonam Kapoor Joins In The Protest Against Mumbai Gang Rape



MUMBAI: True to her word, Sonam Kapoor joined the protests against the vicious Mumbai gang rape, which rocked the nation last week.

A photojournalist in Mumbai was allegedly gang raped by five men in the central district of Mumbai, on Wednesday evening. We had reported how Bollywood, much like ordinary citizens, was shocked and outraged at the brutal attack (SEE STORY HERE)

On Sunday evening, Sonam joined hordes of protesters at Bandra’s joggers park, to display their sense of frustration and anger at the incident. Sonam had tweeted earlier on Sunday: “Lets fight back! Be there at joggers park, bandra today at 5pm to protest against the brutality towards women. I’ll be there to support it!”

Among other celebrities present at the protest, along with scores of civilians, were TV actors Karanvir Bohra and his wife, and Kushal Punjabi.
