MUMBAI: Our shutterbugs have been spotting newly-wed Bollywood duo Vidya Balan and UTV CEO Siddharth Roy Kapur at quite a few events recently.
The blushing bride Vidya Balan with her hubby dearest was seen at the Police Force event ‘Umang’ as well as on the red carpet of Zee Cine Awards 2013. At both occasions, a traditional Vidya stuck to sarees (quite trademark of Vidya) from her favorite designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee, perfect for the newly wed look she obviously gunning for.
At the ‘Umang’ event, Vidya carried a peach-pink half silk and half net saree with a contrasting red blouse. Jhumkas, a red pout and ‘sindoor’ in her hair completed the attire.
The much-in-love couple were next seen at the Zee Cine Awards: While Siddharth went with a sharp black suit, Vidya once again went the traditional way with a yellow kanjeevaram and gold ornaments.
Vidya and Siddharth who had had a very simple and somber wedding, recently enjoyed a lavish post wedding bash thrown for them by filmmaker Karan Johar at chez Ronnie Screwvala (UTV founder) in Breach Candy, South Mumbai.
Making up for the star-less functions during the wedding, the who’s who of Bollywood turned up at this do. From Shah Rukh Khan, to the Bachchans – Amitabh, Aishwarya, Jaya and Abhishek Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Rekha, Prakash Jha, Katrina Kaif, Hrithik Roshan with family, Raj Kumar Hirani, Arbaaz Khan and photographer Daboo Ratnani among others wished the happy couple a lifetime of togetherness and love.
