We bet no one could have topped Kareena Kapoor Khan’s gift to Taimur Ali Khan!
Mommy Kareena Kapoor Khan and Daddy Saif Ali Khan celebrated their little munchkin Taimur Ali Khan’s first birthday yesterday on December 20th, 2017. The little Nawab celebrated his birthday away from the hustle and bustle of Mumbai in his ancestral home— Pataudi Palace. The fun-filled event was attended by his family including his grandparents. While we are sure the adorable boy was spoiled with many gifts but his mother Kareena’s gift is the one he’ll reap fruits of later!
They say mothers are thoughtful but Kareena has gone a mile further and thought of the environment too. Kareena along with her nutritionist Rujuta Diwaker gifted Taimur a forest! Yes, you read that right. Taimur has received a forest as a 1st birthday gift from his mother. The forest has been named, ‘Taimur Ali Khan Pataudi Forest’ and is located 50 kilometres away from Mumbai in Sonave.
The forest spans over a 1000 sq-ft and has a variety of diverse plants! The tree saplings are as young as and even younger than Taimur. Each plant is native and climate resilient. The forest consists of three jamuns, one jackfruit, one amla, 40 bananas, 14 moringas, one kokum, one papaya, five seetaphal, two ramphals and two nimbu trees. Apart from these, the forest will also grow three different types of native pulses and many mirchi, ginger, turmeric and karipatta plants. Not to forget the healthy green leafy vegetables and the genda flowers that will grow in between.

Clearly, the forest will be brimming with superfoods of the future. The reason behind this is to make the little tyke understand and accept the diversity of our society!
Apart from receiving this very thoughtful gift, little Taimur had a lot of fun too! He munched on his delicious looking birthday cake, went horseback riding with his father! He was also photographed while enjoying a merry-go-round ride beside his mother.
Apart from his parents and grandparents, late Shashi Kapoor’s son Karan Kapoor, aunt Karisma Kapoor, her children Riaan Raj Kapoor and Sameira Kapoor, Amrita Arora and her husband Shakeel Ladak were also present at Taimur’s birthday celebration.
