While watching the film, we were thinking here lies a perfect recipe for a Bollywood film. If it falls in the right hands, it will be nothing less than a blockbuster. It seems we wondered aloud as we hear Karan Johar has apparently bought the rights to the film’s remake.
It is an emotional film, which is something hindi film never lacked. Here are something that Karan should keep in mind while redoing it.
If the right casting is done, this could become the love story of the decade. We aren’t sure who we want to see playing the lead roles, but we are hopeful Karan Johar will cast someone with acting in their flair not in their genes.
If reprised similar to the Hollywood film, it can prove how romantic stories can work without the frills of a over-dramatic attributes. A song is unnecessary when eyes and small gestures are enough to prove the love.
The guy here is shown as cancer survivor in the beginning who unfortunately falls prey to it again. An over-excited actor is the need of the role. We just hope Karan Johar will not misconstrue it to be a ham-star.
The girl with breathing issues needs be natural as Shalene Woodley was just that. It doesn’t matter if you aren’t good-looking, but the actress will need to emote well.
Last but not the least, don’t make it if we will get another We Are Family which too was a remake of an epic movie.[/tps_footer]
