There have been many movies which had the setting of Goa. But it is only Josh which actually got the essence of the place just right for the audience to connect fully with the state. But that too was pretty typified with gangwar at display. However, from the looks of Finding Fanny, it seems the film will finally give us a true flavour of Goa.
Interestingly, the trailer establishes the characters first and then goes deeper into the story. A married virgin girl Deepika Padukone, a busty female Dimple Kapadia, a lecherous man Pankaj Kapur and a reticent old man Naseeruddin Shah along with a brawny unkempt guy Arjun Kapoor, the trailer is bang on giving an idea of the film.
Deepika looks fascinating in the role of a Goan girl while Arjun compliments her perfectly. With stalwarts like Naseeruddin Shah and Pankaj Kapur in it, the film will definitely be fun.
Homi Adajania is the director of the film and you can make out that it is an attempt to add light to his otherwise grim stories. This time he just brightened up his dark story to appease the audience. The film will be released both in Hindi and English on September 12, 2014.
