If rumours are to be believed, the latest TV actress to be approached for a Bollywood debut is Ankita Lokhande. The Pavitra Rishta actress, who not only has wonderful acting skills but amazing dance moves as well, has got not more than a few small opportunities ever since her show went off air in 2014.
However, post her breakup with co-star and long-term boyfriend Sushant Singh Rajput, the actress has decided to revamp her career.
The actress was recently spotted attending the screening of Sarbjit where she looked gorgeous as ever. She also has got a new folio shoot done where she looks no less than a million bucks.
The actress is said to be bagging a role in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming film Padmavati. Ankita was spotted having a long discussion with the director at his Juhu office.
Padmavati, is a film based on the life story of the queen of Chittor, Rani Padmavati who performed Jauhar to save her honour before Alauddin Khilji.
Actress Deepika Padukone is said to be playing the role of the brave queen in the film. We are not yet sure about the role being played by Ankita however we can vouch that this can be one major career-defining jig for the actress.
Ankita was also approached earlier for Salman Khan’s Sultan where she did impress the film-makers at the auditions but later lost the role to Anushka Sharma.[/tps_footer]
