With Kick, Deepika was not offered the lead role in the film. But the actress was considered for the item song, Yaar Na Miley. The actress turned down the offer to be a part of the item number as her bar song Lovely from the film Happy New Year was about to release after the Kick item song. The item song went to Nargis Fakhri and her chemistry with Bhai was surely sizzling in the song.
