MUMBAI: Vidya Balan, the most critically acclaimed and commercially successful actress in Bollywood these days, has landed plumly on the cover of ‘Savvy’ magazine.

This women’s magazine, owned by Magna Publications, will see Vidya Balan grace the cover in a svelte avatar, looking red-hot in a short red dress! The actress sure has lost oodles of weight, and is looking fitter and better than ever on the magazine cover.

Spotted was the newlywed actress, who wed UTV honcho Siddharth Roy Kapur in December last year, at the unveiling of the magazine cover. Also seen at the event was Nari Hira, owner of Mumbai-based Magna Publication Co. Ltd. Vidya kept it traditional as always in a black kanjivaram sari, with an intricate red bordered pallu. Vidya was the epitome of humility, grace and poise as she spoke about her latest avatar, and divulged some secrets of her recent weight loss. Perhaps it had something to do with a certain Mr. Kapur, no?

And Vidya’s priorities don’t seem to have changed post marriage either. The actress is honouring all her professional commitments, and has been shooting for films and appearing at events as per plan. She recently made history by being the first actress to bag the ‘Best Actress’ trophy four years in a row, and has maintained that her husband is very supportive of her career.

Says Vidya Balan, of her husband Siddharth Roy Kapur: “That I am an actor and I am married are two different things. Both of us (Siddharth and I) respect each other and our work.”
