Starring Radhika Apte, Adil Hussain, Surveen Chawla, Tannishtha Chatterjee and Sayani Gupta the film is already much in the limelight. Based on the rural backdrop, the movie will explore the lives of the ordinary women situated there.
‘Parched’ aims to showcase the reality, of the lives of the women, through the eyes of three characters namely; Rani, Lajjo and Bijli.
The glimpse initiates with the shot of rural landscape which highlights the root of the movie. With extremely realistic costumes, dialogues and mind blowing background score, the steady sequence of shots touches your heart.
The trailer firstly shows a household like environment and moves on to another level wherein one of the characters is seen in the role of a dancer. The trailer becomes serious by all means when it displays the evils of the rural society in a gradual manner.
The story seems to take a turn when the three ridden characters are shown breathing an air of freedom towards the end. Filled with symbolism, ‘Parched’ is surely going to be a must watch.
The film is all set to hit the screens on September 23rd, 2016.
