[tps_footer]Anees Bazmee’s laugh riot ‘Welcome Back’ created laurels at the box office. The multi starrer film which was a sequel to the movie ‘Welcome’, starred actors John Abraham, Nana Patekar, Paresh Rawal, Anil Kapoor and Shruti Haasan in lead roles. The film did not receive applauds for its content, but nonetheless was termed as an entertainer.
Well, seems like even though the film has completed its collections and has earned quite well, the team of the film ‘Welcome Back’ is yet to receive the due payment. Director Anees Bazmee who is the man behind ‘Welcome Back‘ has stated that the technicians as well as himself are yet to receive the due payment of the film from Firoz Nadiadwala.
Reports suggest Anees has stated that Firoz Nadiadwala had promised him that he would pay all the dues to him once the film is released. The filmmaker has added that even after four months and a huge profit he has not been given his due payment. Bazmee further clarified that he doesn’t know whether Nana Patekar and Anil Kapoor have been paid their dues.
Director of ‘Welcome Back’ further divulged into details and urged that he usually charges Rs. 5 crores, but because Firoz Nadiadwala asked him to cut short his cost, he charged Rs. 3 crores. The displeased talented director further added that he did not mind the cut in cost but he does mind the nonpayment of dues. He added that if this doesn’t get resolved he won’t be working with Firoz Nadiadwala henceforth for any project.
Speculations suggest that actor John Abraham has also not been paid his dues and a complaint has been filed against Firoz Nadiadwala in the Federation of Cine Employees.[/tps_footer]
