But little did any one know that Aamir Khan’s remark could cost someone’s life. Yes, Aamir Khan’s remark turned to be an ugly debate between a couple from Jabalpur. The wife had a heated intense argument with her husband over actor Aamir Khan’s recent remark on rising intolerance.
According to the reports, Sonam Pandey, a resident of Kotwali area in Jabalpur, consumed a poisonous substance after having a fight with her husband. Soon she was taken to the hospital, but unfortunately even after efforts she couldn’t be saved and was declared dead by the doctors.

Reportedly, Sonam’s husband Mayank Pandey, who works with an NGO, in a statement to the police told that their discussion on Aamir’s statement on intolerance had led to the argument.
Meanwhile, police has registered the case of death and the body has been sent for the post mortem. The matter is being investigated as the mother of a three-year-old daughter who suicide was being harassed for dowry according to her brother’s statement to the police.

It all started when at the eighth edition of the Ramnath Goenka Excellence in Journalism Awards, Aamir Khan said, “When I chat with Kiran at home, she says, ‘should we move out of India?’ That’s a disastrous and big statement for Kiran to make. She fears for her child. She fears what the atmosphere around us will be. She feels scared to open the newspapers every day. That does indicate that there is this sense of growing disquiet, there is growing despondency apart from alarm.”
