Zee Cine Awards 2018 was a star-studded event. All Bollywood celebrities were dressed in their best clothes and looked like a million bucks! Celebrities like Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Sidharth Malhotra, Katrina Kaif and many more walked down the red carpet. The evening was filled with performances from Shahid Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Bhumi Pednekar, Priyanka Chopra and many more. However, all eyes were on Priyanka Chopra and her rumoured ex Akshay Kumar!
It always has been common knowledge between Priyanka’s and Akshay’s team that the two actors are not to be present at the same venue at the same time. However, the two actors have come a long way since their rumoured link up. Priyanka and Akshay both have excelled in their respective careers and just want to avoid any unnecessary speculations.
As reported by Pinkvilla a source said, “This time apparently some miscommunication happened between them. Last night at the Zee Cine Awards, Akshay arrived a few minutes earlier before he was presented the award. When he came and sat down, Priyanka’s scintillating performance started amidst much sparkle and dazzle.”
Priyanka’s 12-minute dance performance consisted of her hit songs. What caught everyone’s attention was the choice of songs. PC grooved to ‘Teri Chahaton Ke Jal Se’ from her hit film ‘Aitraaz’ starring Akshay Kumar opposite her. The actress also performed on the title track of the movie ‘Mujhse Shaadi Karogi’. The movie featured Priyanka along with Akshay Kumar and Salman Khan.
The source adds, “Amidst it all, the camera kept panning to Akshay’s face which of course they will show on television. Of course, the superstar had to watch the show as he had walked in a few minutes early. Akshay seemed to be enjoying it like he would, any other star’s performance. Fact is, that because of the timing he had no choice but to wait it out.”
As for Priyanka Chopra’s another ex-flame— Shah Rukh Khan arrived earlier than her through the entrance meant for the performing stars. They too dogged an awkward encounter as the Shah Rukh left the venue before Priyanka entered.
