[tps_footer]Most of us were curious to know where exactly our hip hop superstar Yo Yo Honey Singh has disappeared and what is going on with him that we didn’t get to see him at any event or heard about his stage show performance for almost 18 months.
In a recent award function when we saw Honey Singh, we had to ask him about his long absence, but he politely refused to answer anything at that point of time other than saying that he will tell all of his fans very soon, what he was going through for this long that kept him away from the live performances that he always loved to do and is looking forward to get back to his love for music and his die hard fans.
Now, he has finally revealed the reason for not seen this long and has rubbished the rumours that he was admitted in a rehab to get treatments related to his drugs and alcohol addiction. He has described these 18 months of his life as scary and shattering,
“It was scary. One year had passed and I wasn’t responding to medicines, until a fourth doctor from Delhi treated me. At one point, I thought I would live in this darkness forever. I had cut myself off from everyone. I didn’t come out of my room, forget stepping out of the house. I had a beard and I didn’t get a haircut for months. For someone who has performed in front of a crowd of 20,000, I was scared of facing 4-5 people. That’s what bipolar disorder does to you.”
Yes, he was suffering from a disorder and even his family was shocked to see him going through this, even his mom broke down seeing Honey in so much of pain and it was a tough phase for him to deal with and during this time his own songs that were released, gave him a lot of happiness and strength to make a successful come back, he said,
“Luckily, four of my songs released even while I was ill, and they did so well. I am getting into the groove. I don’t plan too much, just let it flow. Now, I want to work more on contemporary music, as I have done a lot of dance music. I am bringing back street hip-hop again. The whole music scene here is urban and international, as compared to 10 years ago when it was dominated by Bollywood music.”
Hmm, so we can surely expect some funny and rhythmic beats for hamara apna Yo Yo Honey Singh in near future.
