[tps_footer]Yash Raj Films has issued a clarification today saying that Aditya Chopra’s Next Directorial Film is not finalised yet. Speculatioins were rife in the media about Shah Rukh Khan playing the lead in Aditya Chopra‘s next but the clarification says that the film is not finalised yet.

YRF statements said, “There are stories out in some sections of the media about Aditya Chopra’s next directorial film with Shah Rukh Khan in the lead, with misleading titles attributed to this as well. All of this is completely untrue and inappropriate.

While Aditya Chopra will definitely direct a film soon, as of now he has not finalised what he is going to be making next and has not even started writing the script. Anything at this point in time would therefore be unfortunate and misleading conjecturing.As and when he does finalise plans for his next venture, we will certainly be happy to make an announcement.

Till then we would sincerely request all concerned to please refrain from speculating on the cast, story and title.”

The reports that were doing rounds were “We hear reports of Shah Rukh Khan being roped in for a tribute to the cult romance Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge. The reboot will be directed by none other than Aditya Chopra who directed the original as well.

The film will be turning 20 years old next year and the makers decided to reunite to give the doting fans a treat for making DDLJ attain cult status!

A source from Yash Raj Films says, “Aditya will direct the film and everyone’s hoping it will recreate the Dilwale magic. Since the film completes 20 years next year, the idea is to pay tribute to the original film. As of now it’s not clear if Kajol will be the leading lady, considering the recent issues between YRF and her.”
