Akshay Kumar‘s Entertainment First Day Collections stood in the range of Rs 100 million ( Rs 10 crores) net as per early estimates on its first day at the indian Box Office. The film managed to make a dent to the superb run of Salman Khan‘s Kick by taking away a lot of multiplex and single screens. Salman Khan’s Kick managed to collect only Rs 15 million (1.5 crores) net on Friday.
While collections in multiplex was low the single screens managed to pull through for the Akshay Kumar starer Entertainment, the first day collections looks decent as the film opened to decent collections but did not get garner good collections in the multiplexes.
Due to the limited marketing and pre release hype of the movie the film has not managed as good as expected collection although its opened decently with an average of fifty percent occupancy.
While business in the north was good due to Akshay’s fan following, business in metros like Mumbai, Pune, Kolkata, Hyderabad and Bangalore was bad. Entertainment started well at places with an opening of over 50 percent in India. Entertainment has opened better than Akshay Kumar‘s last release Holiday.
With Kick still doing well and mixed reviews for Entertainment, it remains to be seen how Akshay Kumar ‘s film fares over the weekend. Stay tuned for more
