Akshay Kumar starrer Rustom has come out ahead of Hrithik Roshan’s Mohenjo Daro in the domestic as well as overseas market. Both the films are currently witnessing huge battle at the Box Office but Rustom is clear a win in terms of overall weekend collection.
Mohenjo Daro has reached to Rs 30 crore nett plus mark on the weekend while Rustom had a good first weekend of Rs 50 crore nett approx. In a clash with Mohenjo Daro, Akshay Kumar’s Rustom has done well than expected. Rustom is doing very well and has shown good growth on Saturday and Sunday while Mohenjo Daro is showing a slow growth.
The best business for Hrithik Roshan starrer film has come in Nizam / Andhra but main markets like of Mumbai and North have not done well. Though the film showed good growth over the weekend, but the numbers are still poor.
On the other hand, Rustom’ s had the best business on the weekend in Mumbai circuit at around Rs 17.50 crore nett, Delhi/UP is around Rs. 9.50 crore nett and East Punjab is Rs. 5.50 crore nett.

Well, being a big budget film, Ashutosh Gowarikar directorial Mohenjo Daro needs to buck up. There is still time for the film to pull out good numbers at the Box Office being back to back holidays lined up. Both the films are expected to show good growth being Independence Day On Monday. It remains to see what magic both the films create at the Box Office on Monday.
