Amitabh Bachchan- Farhan Akhtar starrer Wazir has had a growth on it’s first Saturday. The film did not open to a great start, considering the fact there were no new major releases since past two weeks.
On it’s first day, Wazir collected Rs. 5.25 crore net approx. (Rs 52 million). On the second day there has been a growth of 35% from it’s first day, the film collected Rs. 7.25 crore net approx. (Rs 72 million). The business of the film over the first two days is Rs 12.5 crores net approx (Rs 125 million).

There was no growth in single screens, but its collections in single screens are also very low with maybe just 10-12% of its total business coming from single screens.
Ideally, the second day business should have been the opening day collections for the film. But with the growth on second day, the film is in a better position. Now if there is a growth on Sunday, the film would stand in a decent position, but because of it’s limited appeal, we are not sure if there would really be a growth, or it would just repeat the performance.

Wazir is not a family entertainer and hence it becomes a film for a niche audience which can further affect its overall collections. The film had minimal promotional activities and it only made its space in the minds of the audience for its intriguing trailer and a few songs.
