Baar Baar Dekho, which showcases modern and unique love story, had a low opening of 30-35% and saw a low first-day collection of around Rs. 6.75 crores net approx (Rs 67 million)
On the other hand, Sohail Khan‘s directorial Freaky Ali saw an opening of 15% and fared poorly on the day of the release with the first day business of Rs. 1.75 crore nett approx (Rs 17 million).
Both the films were expected to see some good growth during the weekend. So did Baar Baar Dekho and Freaky Ali manage to mint good numbers on the second day?
Nitya Mehra‘s Baar Baar Dekho collected around Rs 7.75 crore nett approx (77.5 million) on the second day, taking the total to Rs 14.25 crore (142.5 million). Despite the growth, the film could not manage to mint good numbers on Saturday. Now it remains to see if the film gets better figures on Sunday or no.
While Freaky Ali had a surprising second-day business. The film showed growth of around 40%, which is Rs. 2.50 crore (25 million), taking the two-day business to Rs 4.25 crore (42.5 million). The collection of the film is not bad, considering the theatrical rights, which have been sold for Rs. 8 crore. Comparing the opening of Freaky Ali to other Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrers, then Freaky Ali is on top.[/tps_footer]
