[tps_footer]Hrithik Roshan and Pooja Hegde’s historic film ‘Mohenjo Daro’ clashed with ‘Rustom’. The film ‘Mohenjo Daro’ was not much awaited if compared to ‘Rustom’. The historic film is directed by Ashutosh Gowariker and sees new entrant Pooja Hegde opposite Hrithik. The film, however, opened on a good note but has dropped massively in its first Tuesday collections.
‘Mohenjo Daro’ received mixed reviews. While some praised its concept some also blamed the makers for not doing an apt research on the subject. Based on the Indus Valley Civilization the movie’s songs were not much liked by the masses.
The film has entered in its first week at the box office. The day wise collection of the film is Rs.8.75 crore net approx. on Friday, Rs.9.50 crore net approx. on Saturday, Rs.12 crore net approx. on Sunday, Rs.10 crore net approx. on Monday and Rs.3 crore net approx. on Tuesday.
The total collection of ‘Mohenjo Daro’ comes to Rs.43.25 crore net approx.
The collections at the box office might improve tomorrow due to the occasion of Raksha Bandhan. The drop in the earnings is 65% from the first day. The earnings of the film dropped majorly in all areas, especially in Nizam/Andhra.
The film might earn well today too because of the holiday. The movie might not see a good second week because the collections are already dropping drastically in this week itself.
