2008: Madhur Bhandarkar’s ‘Fashion’ posed stiff competition to Rohit Shetty’s ‘Golmaal Returns’.
Lifetime collections stood of ‘Fashion’ were at Rs 266.8 million (Rs 26.68 crore) and of ‘Golmaal Returns’ at Rs 516.9 million (Rs 51.69 crore).
‘Fashion’ earned Rs 330 million (Rs 33 crore) in its first week worldwide, while ‘Golmaal Returns’ made Rs 720 million (72 crore) in the first week which was a huge record.
