Ragini MMS 2, Gang Of Ghosts, Ankhon Dekhi and Lakshmi were four films that released on March 21, 2014. Of which Ragini MMS 2 took a great start on day one, something that was quite expected as people went in to see Sunny Leone.
Ragini MMS 2 was received very well both in multiplexes as well as in single theaters in spite of the India v/s Pakistan cricket match.
Besides having a brand value, Ragini MMS 2 had a huge amount of promotions, so it was expected to start with a bang and saw a good amount of occupancy in the morning and matinee shows at multiplexes and single screens but then the following day, March 22, 2014 the film showed a drop of about fifteen to twenty percent in its collections.
Ragini MMS 2 has managed to collect approximately Rs 154.8 million (15.48 crore) nett in two days, though official reports are still to come in.
When compared to Ragini MMS 2, other releases Gang Of Ghosts, Ankhon Dekhi and Lakshmi had minimal promotions and all the three films have had a poor start at the Box Office. They have had very poor amount of footfalls at both single screens and multiplexes.
All said and done, Ragini MMS 2 has become the biggest opener for Sunny Leone as compared to her debut film Jism 2.
Now coming to Yash Raj Films Bewakoofiyaan, that had released on March 14, 2014. Well Bewakoofiyaan has been very disappointing at the Box Office and has managed to collect about Rs 121 million (12.10 crore) nett till date. The film has been made on a budget of about Rs 220 million (22.0 crore) nett and looks like it would not be able to cover it’s production cost.
However, the dream run for Queen is still not over and the film that released on March 07, 2014 has managed to collect approximately Rs 422.80 million (42.80 crore) nett till date.
March 28, 2014 will see three films battling it out at the Box Office; Dishkiyaoon, O Teri and Youngistaan. Now lets see who wins the battle at the Box Office next week.
