Box Office: Top 5 Films Of 2016 Which Are Highest Third Week Earners

The initial releases of the year 2016 were a mix of many genres. Almost 100 films released in the first half of the year but only a handful of them could make the cut at the box office. Most of the movies saw a huge crowd in the initial days of release, but their earnings died out in the weekdays. There has not been a mega hit film until now.

After the dying business of the film ‘Udta Punjab’ all eyes are stuck on Salman Khan’s ‘Sultan’. The top five third week earners of the year are ‘Airlift’, ‘Neerja’, ‘Kapoor & Sons Since 1921′, ‘Housefull 3′ and ‘Baaghi’. Tiger Shroff and Shraddha Kapoor starrer film ‘Baaghi’ was a surprise hit at the box office. Though there were expectations from the film but no one predicted that it would do so well.

Whereas, Akshay Kumar’s multi starrer comedy film ‘Housefull 3′ which was going great initially lacked in its collections in the third week with the earnings of Rs. 4 crore net approx. The total collection of the comedy film comes to Rs. 106.75 crore net approx.
