[tps_footer]‘Dishoom’ featuring Varun Dhawan, John Abraham and Jacqueline Fernandez in lead roles has passed its second Monday at the box office. The film opened on a decent note and has garnered above average collections. Directed by Rohit Dhawan, the film is termed as an action entertainer. With a good star cast, the movie was lingering in the minds of the audience.
The film released on a favorable day when Salman Khan’s ‘Sultan’ had already crossed major weeks at the box office. ‘Dishoom’ did not have to bother much about the competition as it was the sole major film. With above average promotions and hit songs, the film was much watched by the youth. ‘Dishoom’ earned majorly from the metropolitan multiplexes.
The second Monday collection of the Varun–John starrer is Rs. 1.50 crore net approx. (Rs 15 million). The movie has now reached its lifetime collection at the box office with Rs.64.50 crore net approx. (Rs 645 million). The action flick might do better than ‘Baaghi’ in this week with around 15 crore net approx.
‘Dishoom’ has done a similar business like that of ‘Drishyam’ and ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’. The second-weekend collection of the film is Rs. 2.25 crore net approx. (Rs 22 million) on Friday, Rs.3.25 crore net approx. (Rs 32 million) on Saturday and Rs.4.25 crore net approx. (Rs 42 million) on Sunday. The total comes to Rs.9.75 crore net approx. (Rs 97 million).
The last Friday releases ‘Budhia Singh’, ‘Fever’, ‘The Legend Of Michael Mishra’ and ‘Suicide Squad’ have hardly minted any numbers on Monday. ‘Budhia Singh’ earned around Rs.15 lakhs on Monday which will hardly give a jump to its overall earnings.
