We have constantly been informing you about how Sultan is on a record breaking spree. The film is proving to be a huge milestone in the success story of the superstar. The film earlier aimed to break the opening day records held by Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. And to much of Salman’s fans pleasure, the film succeeded and achieved its aim of being the biggest Bollywood opener.
Well, the film just hasn’t stopped here. The film earned a grand amount of Rs. 38 crore net approx. ( 380 million) on the first day, on the second-day Rs. 35 crore net approx. (350 million), on the third-day Rs. 33 crore net approx. (330 million) and on the fourth day, Sultan collected Rs 36.73 crore (367 million). Sultan created history by becoming the first film to cross Rs 200 crore in Worldwide business.
Well although this isn’t much of a surprise as the film had a long 5 day weekend owing to Eid, we simply cannot ignore the fact that the film didn’t have as much pre-release booking period as other big achiever projects in the past have had.
Well, keeping everything else aside, the big achievement is indeed a reason to celebrate. The news is trending high on Twitter and is like to break the internet considering the continuous series of wishes for the film being tweeted.
