Sachin Parikh : I love Navratri! Especially being a gujarati I have played dandiya and garba all my childhood till my college years. I hate one thing about closing down microphones at 10 pm now in Mumbai. The charm of dandiya has been on ground zero now. Being an actor I still get a chance to visit a night or two in Gujarat as a guest. I remember once when I was asked to visit a small town in Gujarat during the time when my first and the most popular Gujarati show was on air. I was shown dead in the show for few episodes and the innocent crowd and audience were amazed to see me. Some of them prayed to Maa Amba for my well being and blessed me for everything. I saw ladies weeping tears (khushi ke aansu) seeing me alive in front of them! This memory is unforgettable. I don’t follow any particular ritual but my home is filled with lot of religious activities like puja and fasting especially by my wife.
