With a super successful series of Spider-Man films under his belt, filmmaker Marc Webb seems to have yet another ace up his sleeve. The director of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 speaks about how J. Jonah Jameson could have an expanded presence in the next installment.
As part of a Google hangout to promote the film, Marc Webb answered questions relating to the films. He also inadvertently let slip that the casting for the iconic character JK Simmons may see a rejig.
“I like the idea very much of him coming up in the next film. It was more easy to accept a new Spider-Man than someone who could out do J.K. Simmons in that role, he is so iconic. That’s something we’ve really talked about. Obviously I love that character because he poses such an interesting dilemma for Spider-Man. The answer is I don’t know, but I think you can expect to see him in the future,” said Webb.
The Amazing Spider-Man 2, India’s release is slated on May 02, 2014. The film is directed by Marc Webb and stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Jamie Foxx, Dane DeHaan, Campbell Scott, Embeth Davidtz, Colm Feore with Paul Giamatti and Sally Field.
Well, the stage is all set to welcome the New Year with the Spider-Man!
