FIRST LOOK: ‘300 – Rise Of An Empire’ – More Bloodshed Guaranteed

It’s not over yet. The battle has just begun. Frank Miller’s novel ‘300’ was adapted by Zack Snyder and was based on the ‘Battle Of Thermopylae.’ It was a huge success in spite of its gory, excessive violence; the makers now bring ‘300 – Rise Of An Empire.’ And it promises more bloodshed than ever before.

If one thought that ‘300’ was a bloody violent endeavor, then it’s time that one gets geared up something more bloodier. It’s not over yet. The makers of ‘300’ Zack Snyder and Warner Bros. Pictures unveil the first look of ‘300 – Rise Of An Empire’. Adapted from Frank Miller’s latest graphic novel, Xerxes this one promises to be more violent.

‘300 – Rise Of An Empire’, the new epic saga, takes action to new levels. The battlefield, on the sea, pits Themistocles against the Persian forces led by Xerxes and Artemisia.

The first look poster has Sullivan Stapleton as Themistocles standing alone on a rock, while a violent wave of tide and blood surrounds him.

‘300 – Rise Of An Empire’, also stars Eva Green as Artemisia, Lena Headey who reprises her role in ‘300’ as the Spartan Queen, Gorgo; Hans Matheson, David Wenham and Rodrigo Santoro as Persian king Xerxes.

The film will be directed by Noam Murro and not by Zack Snyder, who directed ‘300’.  The film worldwide is distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures.

With the first look poster having so much of red, it certainly looks that ‘300 – Rise Of An Empire’ is more than a simple violent affair. The battle has just begun. There’s more to come.
