Guess Which ‘James Bond’ Actress Will Be Playing Queen Victoria In An Upcoming Movie!

Dench is all set to essay the role of the British Monarch, Queen Victoria in the film ‘Victoria & Abdul’. The film will be directed by Stephen Frears and will be internationally distributed by Universal.

The film is based on a book ‘Victoria & Abdul: The True Story of the Queen’s Closest Confidant’ written by Shrabani Basu. The screenplay of the film will be written by Oscar nominee Lee Hall. The story follows a true story that of an unexpected friendship that developed during the later years of Queen Victoria’s rule between the Queen herself and Abdul Karim who was a young Indian clerk at the service of Her Majesty. The story talks of the equation between the two and how the unusual relationship between the two was a source of misery to the Queen’s family and her inner circle.

We believe that Judi Dench would be perfect to portray the Queen since she has excelled at playing historic figures on screen in the past.
