Apparently, the country singer sat down with Gwen for a cute indoor style picnic in Stefani’s Los Angeles mansion recently and popped the question with a whopping $ 1.2 million dollar Tiffany engagement ring. Shelton had tried to hide the ring at the bottom of a KFC fried chicken bucket and when Stefani did find it, she didn’t react in a way that Shelton had hoped. Well, hiding a ring amidst fried chicken was probably not a very smooth move. But that’s not why Stefani has rejected the proposal.

According to sources, Stefani is worried that Shelton’s ex Miranda Lambert was 14 years younger than she is right now and this fact made her worry about their compatibility in the long run. She also has three young boys who are ten, seven and two years old respectively and is not sure if marrying Shelton would be in the children’s best interests. Gwen also allegedly believes that her baby-making years are long gone and that this might make Shelton unhappy in the long run. Sadly, her divorce from ex-husband Gavin Rossdale has left her heart broken and also wary of trusting men again.
