LOS ANGELES: The 26th Annual Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards were held at USG Galen Centre in Los Angeles on 23 March 2013. Although the event is for little kids it was an event just as Big as any other we’ve seen this year!
Selena Gomez, Jessica Alba, Lucy Hay, Rosie McClelland and Sophia Grace Brownlee were seen donning some of the cutest and loveliest outfits of the evening. While on the other hand, Katy Perry, Ke$ha, Kristen Stewart, Jaden and Willow Smith failed to fit in!
The Kids’ Choice Awards was hosted by all-time favourites Sandra Bullock and Neil Patrick Harris. The kids voted ‘The Hunger Games’ as their favourite movie leaving behind the super-hero films ‘The Avengers’ and ‘The Amazing Spider-man’. Surprisingly, Oscar Winning Actress Jennifer Lawrence lost to the ‘Twilight Series’ super-star Kristen Stewart for her role in “Twilight Saga: The Breaking Dawn 2”. Stewart also bagged the ‘Favourite Female Butt-kicker’ award for her role in ‘Snow White and the Huntsman’
“I had a t-shirt in kindergarten, it said: ‘Kick Butt First. Take Names Later’ Thank You so much for honouring me in this way, I feel like I’ve finally realised my Kindergarten self.”
Johnny Depp proved that he’s still popular with the kids as he bagged the awards for ‘Favourite Movie Actor’ beating the much younger Andrew Garfield who was nominated for portraying Spider-man in ‘The Amazing Spider-man’.
