Mariah Carey recently shocked everyone when she stated that her next album would be her last. However, in an interview with Billboard, she backtracked on her comments, claiming that they were misinterpreted and she has no plans to call it a day.
“I will always make music. When I said it could be my last, that’s because tomorrow’s not promised to anyone.” clarified Mariah Carey.
She added that she wants to focus on her next album as a whole rather than producing a few hit singles and said, ”You would think I would be all about the singles-driven situation and I am in a way, but with this particular album I want my fans to hear it as a body of work. This is my life since we last left off.”
Mariah Carey’s first and most enduring influence was Marilyn Monroe. Mariah Carey traces her obsession with Marilyn Monroe back to her childhood, when she received a copy of Norman Mailer’s hefty biography of the actress as a Christmas gift at the age of ten.
On the personal front, Mariah Carey is a dog lover and spends a huge £28,000 a year grooming her eight pets.
The American diva whose worth is estimated to about £290million, spends lavishly when it comes to pampering her beloved mutts, enlisting the services of a full time groomer and chauffeur from her fave Beverly Hills doggy salon.
The pooches are given full body wraps, Thai massage, blueberry facials and manicures during their day-long spa trips.
“She pays for her doggies to travel with her first class on a whim. And when they can’t she will check them into doggy day care at salons Chateau Marmutt, Barkingham Palace, or Pour La Pooch. She also employs a designated chauffeur to ferry them to and fro at around £400 a time.” reveals an insider.
Well all this just goes on to show that Mariah Carey is as passionate about her pets as she is for her music.
