A bare it all book titled Our World by the girl band Little Mix reveals personal details about one of their singer Perrie Edwards’ life.
Former One Direction band member Zayn Malik and Edwards ended their engagement back in August 2015, and now the world is getting a good preview into their split.
In the book, she said, “It was horrible, the worst time of my life. A four-year relationship, two-year engagement ended by a simple text message. Just like that. Even though things my career were going really well, it was incredibly difficult for me.”
Little Mix band appeared on the U.K.’s Heart Radio subsequent to the release of their new single “Shout Out to My Ex” where Edwards opens about her emotional and mental state after receiving a phone call from Malik. She said, “I was at the airport and I got an awful phone call…from someone,” Edwards told Heart Radio. “And then…I just…what did I…I just remember screaming in the airport.”
Another band member, Jade Thirwall added, “[Perrie] had a little mini breakdown in the airport” and added. “It was in the security line and so we thought ‘Oh God!'”
After candidly admitting that Zayn dumped her via text, Perrie had no qualms coming clean about her mental state then, “I was like a woman possessed! It was awful!” and added, “It just blubber and blubber and I thought I was going to explode.”
This confession is so heart-breaking!!
Her band members stood with her like a rock through her difficult times, “The girls were amazing. We’d have sleepovers and they’d get my favorite desserts and do everything could to cheer me up,” reads an excerpt from the band’s upcoming book Our World.
