Actor Peter Weller of Fox’s hit TV Show 24 and the blockbuster movie Robocop may eventually be building a new vacation home in southern Costa Rica. Weller has received an acre plot of undeveloped land in Phase Three, known as ‘The Heights of Pacifica’ from Paragon Properties of Costa Rica, a Hollywood, Florida based company specializing in selling pre-developed land on Costa Rica’s southern Pacific coast.
Weller and Paragon Property’s Chairman of the Board, Bill Gale, are long time friends having vacationed together in Italy many times over the last decade. Gale and Weller found themselves talking about the exciting developments in Central America during a recent family vacation in December ’05. Gale took the conversation to the next level in early April ’06 when he offered Weller his own plot of land in his new Phase Three development.
According to Gale, “Peter is a great person and just the kind of neighbor people will want living in our new ‘Phase Three – Heights of Pacifica’ gated community located in Parrita overlooking the gorgeous Pacific Ocean. We are excited to have Peter join us as we develop this exciting area of the world. And I am sure our current land owners will feel safer knowing that ‘Robocop’ is living in their neighborhood.”
Paragon Properties of Costa Rica has sold-out eleven complete subdivisions in south-central Costa Rica within the last eighteen months. The South Florida based company is credited with igniting a renewed interest in the small Central American democracy with their strong presence on television and the Internet. According to Gale, “Costa Rica is a great alternative to the United States. The country is a safe and peaceful democracy where the U.S. dollar goes a lot further than it does here. Thousands of Americans, including my friend Peter Weller, have been hearing great things about Costa Rica for many years. But with the current social and political climate being the way it is, it seems many Americans are actively searching for an alternative. We just happen to be in the right business at the right time.”
Weller’s new neighbourhood is in Paragon’s Phase Three development known locally in Costa Rica as the ‘Valley of Pacifica’. This beautiful Costa Rican property located within 2 miles of the Pacific Ocean is the site of new roads, a new gatehouse, 2 new model homes, a new 66,000 gallon water tank, and new electric power being brought to the area. Gale expects development to accelerate dramatically now that the infrastructure is nearing completion. The Gales will also be attending Peter Weller’s wedding to Sheri Stowe in Positano, Italy in June.
