Kelly Bumann named SVP in Starz Entertainment marketing group

MUMBAI: Kelly Bumann has been named to the newly created position of senior vice president, consumer marketing for Starz Entertainment.

Starz Entertainment executive vice president, marketing Nancy McGee said, "Kelly’s hard work, leadership and vision was particularly invaluable to the company during the past 12-18 months as Starz has rebranded its channels and services and staked a bold position in the marketplace with the successful introduction of new, original programming. With skillful management of her dedicated marketing and brand communications team, original series launches of ‘Crash’ and ‘Party Down,’ were achievements that contributed to the transformation of how both consumers and the creative communities view and evaluate Starz today."

Bumann previously served as vice president, brand strategy & marketing communications. Bumann was a key contributor to last year’s Starz brand relaunch and is a leader in the marketing strategy execution and development tied to Starz’ recent foray into original programming.

Bumann joined Starz Entertainment in 2003. Prior to that she managed her own consulting business, Tiny Rocket, Inc., which specialized in consulting emerging businesses in the interactive area. Before that she served as vice president of marketing and sales for MediaOne Road Runner (now Comcast), where she led the marketing, sales and product development for the RoadRunner service.
