MUMBAI: Born This Way – the first single and title track from Lady Gaga’s hotly anticipated upcoming album, is the fastest selling single ever on the iTunes Store worldwide, hitting #1 in all 23 countries and selling over one million tracks in just five days.

In addition to breaking the iTunes record this week Lady Gaga gave a spectacular performance of the song on Sunday’s Grammy telecast, where she won her third, fourth and fifth Grammys.

Lady Gaga’s third full-length album, Born This Way (Streamline/Kon Live/Interscope), is scheduled for release on 23 May.
