Mumbai: Online animation community MyToons has announced that the company has reached an agreement with Google Inc. to implement the fifth generation of the Google Search Appliance hardware and software on MyToons.com. The deployment of the Google Search Appliance will add Google’s powerful search engine capabilities to MyToon’s website.
"Our customers have made it clear that they’re looking to experience the best animation we can deliver," said MyToons CEO & co-founder Dan Kraus. "Our use of the Google Search Appliance aids this by adding the power of Google’s search to our quickly-growing animation index, and provides a strong foundation for our future search initiatives."
The Google Search Appliance is an integrated corporate search solution that extends Google’s award-winning search technology to intranets and websites and improves search results.
"Search – whether it’s on Google.com, across an organization’s website or across internal networks and databases – continues to play a critical role in helping site visitors, customers and employees find the information they need," said Google product marketing manager Vijay Koduri. "We’re delighted MyToons is able to use the Google Search Appliance to better meet customer search needs."
Animators, artists, fans and enthusiasts can take advantage of MyToons’ Google hardware-based search to easily find animations, artwork, games and artists; searching by word, phrase, genre, style, medium and more to quickly see the results.
