MUMBAI: Relativity Media has promoted Greg Forston to executive vice president and general sales manager of theatrical distribution.
Forston will report directly to Relativity Media president, worldwide distribution Kyle Davies. Forston previously served as senior vice president, overseeing the Eastern division when Relativity acquired its marketing and distribution operations from John Malone’s Liberty Media/Starz’ film unit Overture Films in 2010.
In his new role, Forston will be responsible for executing national theatrical distribution and release plans for the US.
Most recently, Forston helped guide Relativity’s highest opener as a distributor for the box office hit Limitless and is currently working on the upcoming Shark Night 3D, Machine Gun Preacher and Immortals. Looking ahead, Forston will oversee the distribution plans for Haywire, Act of Valor, The Raven, Untitled Snow White Project, Untitled Farrelly/Wessler Project, House At The End of The Street, Safe Haven and Hunter Killer.
