MUMBAI: Singapore animation company Scrawl Studios has inked a co-production deal with French partner Cyber Group Studios for its CG-animated series Zou.
The new (52 x 11) CG-animated pre-school series has been presold in 50 countries worldwide and has been picked up by broadcasters including France 5, TeleQuebec and Disney EMEA. It is expected to premiere in Europe on Disney in Q2 2012.
Zou is a television adaption of the popular children’s book series by author Michael Gay that tells the stories of a five year old zebra and his extended family as he goes about earning his stripes. The book is a recipient of the "Parent’s Choice” award in the U.S. and the "Special Award" at the Festival de Turin.
