Mumbai: Big Music has acquired the music rights of the film Kuselan that stars south-Indian superstar Rajnikanth. Big Music will release the album in two languages, Tamil & Telugu. The music album will hit stores across the country from 1 July.
The album composed by G.V. Prakash Kumar, nephew of veteran film composer A. R. Rahman will also include Daler Mehndi singing in Tamil and Telugu for the first time.
Daler Mehndi has sung the track Oyam Zaarare in this movie. Also lending their voices to this stupendous album for playback in the film are Shankar Mahadevan, Hariharan, Sujata, Chitra, Sadhna Sargam, Shreya Ghosal, and Kailash Kher and Prasanna.V.V.
Speaking about Kuselan, which based on his real life, Rajnikanth said, "The character Ashok Raj will be a turning point in my career. I have always been overwhelmed by the response I get from my audience. I have portrayed nearly 20 different characters for a song in this movie and I am very excited about the movie."
Speaking about the music, Southern India business head Umesh Pai said "While Daler Mahendi’s song Oyam Zarare is poised to be the next chartbuster, the audiences will groove to the foot tapping tunes of Perinba. Another highlight of the song is that P. Vasu has got the who’s who of Tamil Film industry to appear in the song."
