MUMBAI: Producer Sanjay Gupta and director Apoorva Lakhia have made a last minute decision to shoot a promotional video for their forthcoming film Shootout At Lokhandwala.
The film’s music is due for release on 14 April 2007. “I have shot one song on Friday with Viviek Oberoi, Tusshar Kapoor, Rohit Roy, Shabbir Ahluwalia, Aditya Lakhia and Kim Sharma. Initially, we thought of using this song as a promotional video, but eventually, we might end up with it as a part of the second half of the movie,” says Lakhia.
“Shootout at Lokhandwala is quite a grave film so we thought this song would bring in some fun element and break the seriousness,” he adds.
The film’s music has been scored by various artistes including Strings, Anand Raj Anand, Mikka Singh and Pittu. “The promo video has been written by Mikka. It combines elements of rap and traditional music,” adds Lakhia. While the audio CD will have 10 songs including remixes, a maximum of three songs may be seen as a part of the film.
Lakhia also shot recently with Rakhi Sawant, wherein she was required to be herself in one scene. The film also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan and Sanjay Dutt. It will release on 25 May 2007.
