MUMBAI: T-Series has launched the first solo album of singer Uvie called Aa Bhi Ja.
The title track of the album is a song sung by Uvie and depicts the emotion of a man who hasn’t come to terms of losing his beloved and is still awaiting her comeback. The lyrics of this song are penned by Preeti.
Uvie has an M.A. in music and has been the disciple of Professor Harvinder Singh and Pt. Yashpaul, (Punjab University Chandigarh) both disciple of Agra Gharana. Uvie was also an assistant to music director duo – Sajid – Wajid.
Uvie was also mentor in the music based programmes on television like Indian Idol – 4 for Sony, Ek Se Badhkar Ek on Zee, and Shava Shava on NDTV. Besides lending voice to various devotional albums, remixes and playback in many films, Aa Bhi Ja is his first solo album.
Uvie said, "Aa Bhi Ja" as an album, truly showcases my talent as a singer, as it has the right mix of songs like Sufi, classical – Khamaj Rag, Punjabi Hindi fusion, besides the album, I have done playback for Main Aur Mrs Khanna, which is scheduled for an October release."
The videos of both Aa Bhi Ja and O Piya would be aired on music channels. The album comprises a sufi song Mere Rabba, written and composed by Nakash Sargam.
The other songs in the album are Nee Adiye, Wada Koi, Zindagi Kho Gayi, Ye Pal and O Haseena.
