[tps_footer]No Story, No Screenplay and No Direction; well that’s what Lekar Hum Deewana Dil is all about. As predicted by us in the trailer review, the film is a bad copy of Shaad Ali‘s Saathiya.
Lekar Hum Deewana Dil is all about Dinesh; lovingly called Dino (Armaan Jain) and Karishma who preferred to be addressed as K (Deeksha Seth) are in love. They run away and get married and that’s where the problem starts.
The two keep hopping from one city to another, and then realise that life is not easy. When the two walk into a hotel to check in, Karishma tells Dino that she was not told by him to carry any money. Wow this is what we call very intelligent.
On the run, both land in some dangerous territory where Naxals rule. Now, one expected them to have a hard time, but then here the director and writer are shockingly different as the hero is seen having a blast with an item girl. Wow, now that’s all entertainment.
The film just runs towards it’s climax and thankfully ends. The jokes are very cliché and boring. There are too many songs in the film, guess the makes made the film as they were in love with the songs.
Lekar Hum Deewana Dil is just scenes put together with songs in it. The second half of the film is predictable and goes on and on.
Armaan Jain has no screen presence and is a big lead down. As far as Deeksha Seth goes, she shows some spark but then the girl is sadly backed with nothing.
This is something which is a give in with A.R. Rahman; either his music is superlative – Jodhaa Akbar, Guru or below average – Blue and Lekar Hum Deewana Dil.
At the end of it all one wonders, why did one make a film like Lekar Hum Deewana Dil. One request, can we please ban the writers and the director who have made this film.
