[tps_footer]Either Anurag Sharma lives in denial that he is one of the best looking and immensely talented actor we have in television today, or he knows it and he loves to pretend.
Well, that’s what Anurag Sharma is all about, because one hardly sees him talk about his work or interacting with media or making headlines. Now, according to me he is one of the most talented actors we have today.
Anurag Sharma, came to Mumbai from Allahabad with a dream to make it big. After a series of auditions and tons of rejections, Anurag managed to get a small cameo in Pavitra Rishta in the year 2009 where he was supposed to essay the character of Satish Deshpande.
The role had nothing much to offer, but Anurag took it up and he had no option at that time, but looking at what one saw on screen and with the amount of sincerity he put in the character, Anurag Sharma went on to be a part from two years. A role that would have ended in about two months, went on for two years.
“I am here to do my job. All I know is the craft of acting, rest all depends on the makers and my audience. I have strived to do what best I can.” says a very confident Anurag Sharma.
Post Pavitra Rishta, came a phase where Anurag had no or very little work, but then he kept himself busy with shows like Byaah Hamari Bahoo Ka, CID, Adaalat and Hum Ne Li Hai…Shapath but then the actor in him was looking for more.
“Those two years of my life were the most difficult ones. Post my track ended in Pavitra Rishta things changed. People around me changed. I had not one to talk to, friends just vanished from my life but then I had faith in God and my talent and today I am happy with this new chapter in my career.”
From playing positive characters, Anurag Sharma has turned a new leaf and is essaying a character with grey shades in Ye Hai Mohabbatein on Star Plus. His character, Parmeet Khurana, does all that a bad man would do and it seems he is getting a lot of applause for the same.
“For me being bad is good and I am happy that I got an opportunity to play Param. I do hope that i get the support of my audiences as I have always got, that’s what keeps me going.” stated Anurag.
