Totally a filmy Friday it is as three distinct films- Kaalakaandi, 1921 and Mukkabaaz have released today at the Box Office.
One of the most anticipated films of this month, Kaalakaandi starring Saif Ali Khan in the lead role has released today at the Box Office. The film that is clashing with two films- 1921 and Mukkabaaz, is receiving good reviews from the audience. After Rangoon and Chef, finally, Saif Ali Khan will be seen in a unique role in Kaalakaandi. As we saw in the trailer, his jokes and mannerisms made everyone laugh and he seems to be back to what he is best at.
The film also boasts of a dependable cast including the likes of Deepak Dobriyal, Akshay Oberoi, Kunal Roy Kapur and Vijay Raaz.
Now that the film has released, let’s check out what audience has to say. Could KaalaKaandi impress the audience?
The film is directed and written by Akshat Verma, the one who was the writer of Delhi Belly as well. Like Delhi Belly, looks like, this one is also going to be full of expletives.
Check out social media reviews of the film right here:
While there's a flavour of Delhi Belly, #Kaalakaandi doesn't somehow deliver as powerful a film that was expected. Rich in moments but somehow it misses out on coherence.

Saif Ali Khan is in great form and while all other actors deliver a commendable performance, it's Saif's moments with transgender sex worker Sheela that'll sort of stay with you. #Kaalakaandi

#Kaalakaandi is bizarre in a way I wish more Bollywood films were but it's also an American Born Confused Desi mess that vacillates between unsuccessfully between its Coen Brothers influences and Bollywood masala.

#QuickReview #Kaalakaandi at least 1921 gets an excuse that multiplexes aren’t showing their film. what excuse is there for this asinine film?

Interval.
First Half of the Movie looks Interesting. Full of LOLs and ROFLs
Great to see Pappi Bhaiya ( @deepakdobriyal ) and #VijayRaaz in the film
Not to forget #SaifAliKhan and Akshay Verma have literally outperformed. #KaalaKaandi— RJ Shonali (@Shonalii11) January 12, 2018

I'm still confused why such an amazing actor like @neilbhoopalam had such a short role in #Kaalakaandi ! Wish there could be more of him in the film.. but for whatever time he was, he was simply easy with his fun antics.@KaalakaandiFilm @cinestaanfilmco

#SaifAliKhan needed @KaalakaandiFilm more than #Kaalakaandi needed Saif. What a film. #AkshatVerma @Universal_PR
