Amidst Kapil Sharma-Sunil Grover row, Preeti Simoes reveals the reason for de-activating her Twitter account.

Everyday a new story unfolds in the Kapil Sharma-Sunil Grover controversy. It was buzzing that Kapil Sharma’s rumoured former girlfriend Preeti Simoes has quit the show. Preeti is the creative director of his production company. Since she de-activated her account, people assumed she has quit.

There were many nasty remarks made against her, with twitterati even accusing her of being jealous because Kapil has posted the picture of his girl friend Ginni Chatrath. Many people on twitter even blamed her for leaking the details of the fight between Kapil and Sunil.

In an interview with HT, Preeti revealed that she doesn’t want to be a part of the controversy that followed after Kapil reportedly misbehaved with co-star Sunil Grover on their return flight from Australia, last week.

Kapil, in a drunk state of mind hurled abuses and his shoe at Sunil infant of the cast and crew, including Preeti. Everyone is upset with Kapil’s behaviour.

Preeti was then asked if she has quit The Kapil Sharma Show. She replied, “I will take things as they come, once I’m back from Goa. I have always had a great working relationship with Kapil and the team. Right after Australia, I went on vacation. I had applied for this leave a year back. I have been in Goa for a week now, for my aunt’s birthday. Let me get back to Mumbai, and then we’ll see.

Preeti did not want to talk anything about the fight. She was asked the reason for de-activating her Twitter account. She then said, “From the moment I knew what had happened, I didn’t want to be part of it. If I retweet Sunil’s post then people will say I am on his side and if I don’t, then people think I am on Kapil’s side,” she says, adding, “I didn’t want to be part of the fiasco. If people are assuming things, then they can continue to do so. I don’t open myself to opinions that don’t matter. I don’t have a public life. I am a worker and my job is to create content, not controversies.
