MUMBAI: This week, the young ‘uns stepped forward with their best foot, but a veteran still overshadowed them.
Shah Rukh Khan: It’s like this list does not get enough of the superstar, just as his fans don’t. The actor had been sporting a beard to go with his long hair for the past few months. But to receive the Rajasthan Patrika award, the ‘Chennai Express’ actor shaved himself clean. To go with that look, he wore a squeaky-white blazer on a black shirt and trousers. We couldn hardly get a glimpse of his ponytail, but whenever he did show the ponytail, we couldn’t have asked for any better.
John Abraham: When someone goes to an art exhibition, they usually tend to overdo their clothes. But John Abraham did not fall into that trap. He kept it simple and sweet with a sky-blue shirt with his sleeves rolled-up over a beige pant. One would say he let the art to the talking, but he also let his style speak out, even if it was in whispers.
Sushant Singh Rajput: Not often do we see a star sporting Indian wear at a movie-launch, but Sushant Singh Rajput hit the right notes when he wore a kurta-pyjama at the launch of his latest film ‘Byomkesh Bakshi’. A green-lined kurta that seemed handwoven over a white pyjama and Kolhapuri chappals to go with it. We like this boy-next-door look.
Abhay Deol: Most men seem to prefer the suit or the blazer lately, so it was a surprise to see waistcoat over his white shirt for the ‘Raanjhanaa’ success bash. A black and white combination is always a smart choice, and Abhay Deol stole the show at the party.
