Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt who recently starred with Shahid Kapoor in ‘Shaandaar’ had to face a huge failure with this film. Despite the star studded cast and the big banner production, the film failed to work its magic at the box office failing terribly. When asked about the same, Alia was quite cool about it saying that it is her first failure and hence she has decided to learn from it and move on. ‘Shaandaar’ had created quite some hype since Vikas Bahl was shooting it, but it proved to be not so shaandaar at the box office.
Alia Bhatt’s previous films like ‘Student of the Year’, ‘2 States’, ‘Highway’ have been highly successful getting major response from her fan base. Considering the film ‘Shaandaar’ and its high scale production, casting and direction, the film should have outshined all of her previous films. But that did not happen since the film crashed at the box office, despite being released on a major holiday like Dussehra.
At the young age of 22, Alia Bhatt knows a lot about how to deal with attention and being in the limelight. The actress has many a times faced difficult questions and yet remained calm while answering them. When faced with the question of her film Shaandaar’s failure, Alia replied, “Of course, there is disappointment. It’s a first for me. I’ll take this in my stride and move on.”
Nonetheless Alia Bhatt has some promising upcoming releases in the recent future one with Shahid Kapoor again. Alia Bhatt will soon be starring in the film ‘Udta Punjab’ starring Shahid, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Diljit Dosanjh. The film is being helmed by Abhishek Chaubey, and it is set to release on January 22, 2016. Alia Bhatt will be playing the role of a drug addict in the film, which is something we’re looking forward to see.
