Deepika Padukone is riding high on the success of her recently released film Piku. The film proved to be a blockbuster hit. In the midst of all the happiness and success, Deepika only has one fact that upsets her a little. Fact that she isn’t a part of Zoya Akhtar’s most awaited upcoming film Dil Dhadakne Do.
In a recent Piku success party, the actress revealed that she really wishes that she were a part of Dil Dhadakne Do. While interacting with media, Piku star Deepika Padukone said if asked which film would she like to be a part of this year, Dil Dhadakne Do is it. “If this year you ask me which film would you like to be part of, I think Dil Dhadakne Do is one of those films that I really wish that I was a part of,” Deepika said.
The actress went further on and revealed that the director of the film even handed over Dil Dhadakne Do’s script to her to read. “Zoya is very close friend and she had given me the script to read just for some feedback and it’s a fantastic script. I hope the film has shaped up as well as the script has and I am really looking forward to that.”
Dil Dhadakne Do stars Deepika Padukone’s alleged beau Ranveer Singh in one of the leads. Directed by Zoya Akhtar, film tells a story about a dysfunctional Punjabi family on a cruise trip and their complicated stories. The film also stars Priyanka Chopra, Anushka Sharma, Anil Kapoor and Shefali Shah. Dil Dhadakne Do is all set to hit the theaters on June 5, 2015.
