Well, by now we all know that Bollywood’s superstar Salman Khan has been replaced by Varun Dhawan in Karan Johar’s much talked film Shuddhi. Earlier Salman Khan was roped in for the project but due to some problems the project couldn’t take off as the Dabangg star is already caught up with his prior commitments.
Salman Khan took to his twitter account congratulating Badlapur actor Varun Dhawan saying, “Kamaal karte ho Varun Dhawan…made ur dad n me so proud of u… happy Shhuddhi,” He also posted adorable picture of Varun alongside.

Speculations were taking rounds that the superstar Salman apparently couldn’t give the project exact dates from his schedule because of his court hearings and two films Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo.
But recently during Arab Indo Bollywood Awards in Dubai, Salman Khan revealed why he exited from the film. The actor said, “ Karan Johar is making such a big project film, I told him to make a little lower budget film, instead he cut me off from the film and took Varun Dhawan.”
“How sweet of you Karan,” he added. We wonder what KJo had to say on that! So does it mean that ‘Shuddhi’ is now low budget film without Salman Khan?
Coming back to Karan Johar’s Shuddhi, it is been directed by Agneepath director Karan Malhotra and is produced under Dharma Productions. The film stars, Student Of The Year pair, Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt. The shooting of the film will soon go on floors.
