The filmmaker, who has done a few cameo roles in films like Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, will be seen in a full fledged negative role in Anurag Kashyap‘s Bombay Velvet.
The Koffee With Karan host was all jovial at his film’s wrap up party and said that filmmaker Anurag Kashyap had fulfilled his late father and filmmaker Yash Johar‘s wish.
Karan Johar revealed that his father Yash Johar believed that he should become an actor. Karan Johar tweeted, “My father thought I should be an actor. I didn’t. Thank you Anurag Kashyap for fulfilling my dad’s wish. Johar admitted Anurag is his favourite director.
On being asked by media if Kashyap ever screamed on him while shooting the film, he replied, “No not at all, Anurag ne naa mujhe daata, na mera role kaata.”
Though Anushka Sharma was missing from Bombay Velvet‘s red carpert event, her co stars in the film Ranbir Kapoor and Karan Johar along with director Anurag Kashyap made sure that their film’s wrap up party was a grand success.
Bombay Velvet stars Ranbir Kapoor and Aushka Sharma in lead roles. The film is scheduled to release on November 28, 2014
